I read excellent reviews about Poonam on the GMAT club. When I started drafting essays, I had trouble cutting down the word count while keeping to the essence of the story. In our initial call, Poonam answered all my questions about the process, pricing, and packages. She answered my questions about admissions and suggested applying to another school apart from MIT, which I did. The meeting was informative, and I knew what was expected of me and what I was getting. It made me feel comfortable in the process; Poonam is a true professional.

My resume did not have much on military service and community service, and the counseling session for resume discussion helped me think of ways to convey that in my resume. Having me include my military service and community service, making my bullet points more impactful, and telling of my accomplishments helped bolster my resume. Using the STAR method made my bullets more impactful and ensured the admissions committee would fully understand it. After she trimmed my resume, the bullets, and the overall structure and content remained the same.

The questionnaire of 25 questions was a huge help that allowed me to explore my whole personal and professional life. Answering the questionnaire questions allowed me to think about my whole personal and business life and discuss with her what stories would best fit the essay prompts. We had stories already written for MIT that had to be adjusted for the prompt, but it gave me a foundation to start. For Kellogg, the prompts allowed me to showcase my military experience and leadership, significantly shaping my application to show my whole self professionally and personally.

The counseling session for essays helped me brainstorm ideas. When reviewing the essays live, I was challenged to think differently and was given valuable advice that helped me craft my stories. All the drafts, comments in the essays, and guidance in the meetings helped me organize my details and tell my stories clearly and effectively while staying within the word limit. Poonam’s capability to edit and trim a story that is 700 words to 450 words while keeping to the whole story is a fantastic skill that truly demonstrates her expertise in this area, in English, and storytelling. The LOR guidance helped me craft points for my recommenders that showcase my profile and the areas I want them to write about me in their LORs. One of my recommenders appreciated it when crafting my LOR.

Working with Poonam was a fantastic experience. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and connecting with her. She was beyond helpful throughout this process and an excellent and professional person. I am thrilled to say that I have received admission offers from both the programs we collaborated on- MIT and Kellogg. I would recommend her services to other potential MBA applicants. I would not have been able to craft the essays I did without her help.
