Although my spoken English is not so good, the one-hour session I had with her went along smoothly. We exchanged information about my background/ motivation; Poonam soon drew an outline for the service procedure and timeline of my application and provided a lot of useful suggestions I have never thought of. She was not only concerned about details but also watchful on the big picture. All the guidelines she suggested related closely to my motivations and career goals. Besides, she kept a great balance between the stories. I made a big mistake when drawing an outline for the video essay. While doing my research, I talked to a few other big brand Essay editing companies, but realized that their process is too mechanical rather than personal. Next, I came across some great reviews about Poonam’s essay services on GMAT Club and few other online forums and talked to her previous clients. I also found the pricing of myessayreview to be reasonable. The one hour session we had was very useful. We formulated the strategy on how to proceed with the applications, talked about which schools to apply and how the essay review process will work.
While writing an essay, I got so engrossed in making the essay impactful that sometimes I forgot what the question is actually asking and what the admission committee is looking for. This is when Poonam’s comments / edits on the essay start making sense as she steered me in the right direction. It’s also nice to have someone read your stories in an unbiased way ( the way admissions committee will probably review it)

I typed grad school sample essays online and sample essays on myEssayReview were the first ones that showed up. It was very kind of her to show on website how the applicants should structure their essays. The sample essays made me decide to use Poonam's service. Communication is the key to understand a candidate. The one hour initial skype call met my expectation and helped me think as a writer. First, I had a low GMAT score, and the only things which were strong with my profile were my community service, my goal in life, and my professional accomplishments. I wanted to make sure that I presented all these parts of my profile in such a good way that it would cover for my very low GMAT. And I felt there wouldn’t have been anyone except Poonam who could do that for me. Second, from what I could find about Poonam, I came to know about her honesty and about her straight forwardness, and I wanted someone who could provide an honest feedback. So I requested for free consultation meeting.
The free consultation meeting was as expected. I had mailed Poonam about my plans, goals and the schools that I was targeting before the meeting itself. I believe to bring down the word count is the most difficult part of MBA essay editing. But with Poonam, I would say you can write your content without really caring about word count and leave it up to her to convey the same thing in a more concise manner and I am pretty sure she will be able to do it and that too in the most efficient way. Once she knows your story, she can bring them up in the most beautiful way you would have ever imagined. As for her turnarounds, got all my edits/ re-edits within 36 hours, to be specific. Not only that, Poonam made sure she responded to all my questions/doubts on time and to say the least, despite her busy schedule, she is up to each and every task.
I would say if you are looking for a genuine consultant who would work for your better future, there cannot be anyone better than Poonam. I got accepted into Booth Evening MBA for Fall 2014 quarter. With a 610 GMAT score, it’s like a dream come true. Thank you, Poonam for all your help and guidance.After my GMAT, I had very little time to submit my application to the business school (I was applying for 2 schools and had only 2 weeks’ time), and I was scouting for some good essay review services online. That is when I came across myEssayReview. There were excellent reviews and some of them who have had success with low GMAT scores. I thought this was right for me.
While I had many of my stories ready well in advance, Poonam’s guidelines helped me get the flow of the story right and also eliminate any unnecessary content to be precise and to the point while submitting the essays to the business school. While I had my story content strong and solid, there was no proper structure and flow. The paragraphs and contents were haphazard and more often than not were completely out of place. Poonam helped me analyze my thoughts in their chronological order and worked through in creating an effective story and structure. Moreover, the initial kick-off call that I had with her helped me a lot in understanding how I should structure my thoughts and what I should include and what I should not.
Adherence to word limits was an area I was consistently worried about. I always ended up sending my first couple of drafts to her with at least 200 words more than the word limit. However, you had clearly asked me not to worry about the word count and instead get the story right. After the first essay, I strictly adhered to your advice and the result was fantastic.
Your sentence structure, choice of words, punctuation, and grammar were spot-on. There were many instances when my sentence structure and grammar were incorrect and you did a detailed review of the essay to help me get the structure and grammar right without compromising on the story.
As I mentioned earlier, I was concerned given the short time as I had to submit my application within 2 weeks. However, you were extremely quick and always provided a turn-around of fewer than 12-16 hours.
