"Best Admission service w/o burning your savings"

I signed up for MER services because it provides the services I need at a low price. The one-hour counseling session was very informative, provided helpful advice for my essays and answers my questions about the prompts and application process. Also, she helped me incorporate the defining principles from respective schools (Haas and UCLA) in my essays to make them stand out. She understood my stories very well, I particularly liked the initial questionnaire, which asked just about everything about my life. It forced me to write and helped me understand my own story, which helped a lot during the actual essay-writing process. I appreciate that in addition to normal editing, she restructured my essays to make them flow better and helped me to make them stay on topic by deleting unnecessary sentences and asking relevant questions to make my essays more complete.

- 2018 applicant -accepted into Haas and UCLA part time MBA program
"myEssayReview – the perfect gateway to your dream"

I signed up for MER services to seek support and guidance to apply for full time MBA program for fall 2019 intake. I signed up for comprehensive package for 3 universities and additionally 6 essays package to apply for other universities. I was a student of e-GMAT online courses and MER was referred by e-GMAT. However, I made an extensive research on the GMAT club forum and found out that though she is among the top 5 consultants globally for MBA admission services, the fare charged by her for her services was half of that charged by other equally qualified consultants. Secondly, other equally renowned consultants were firms that employed writers whereas in MER, the founder, Madam Poonam took up the job herself and attended each candidate individually.

I had a one-hour counseling session on 18.09.2018. The session was really fruitful. Madam Poonam patiently listened to my entire story on education, work experience and community service experience and broadly outlined the list of universities that I could target. She strongly conveyed in the first counseling session that I should not apply to the same universities that I applied last year but failed to get through because I could not improve my GMAT score from the score I had secured the previous year.

Resume building was the most challenging part of my application as I not only have 9 years of work experience but also have a few outside of work interests. Consequently, I had a lot to list in my resume, but she took tremendous efforts to ensure that only the best of my experiences found its place in my resume. My resume underwent at least 4 edits and 2 layout changes. In the entire process, she was only suggestive and did not enforce her ideas on me. Finally, we prepared an impressive one-page resume with quality content and with balanced view on my work and outside of work experiences.

Understanding the profile starts with a questionnaire of 17 questions. She starts this process well in advance so that we do not miss out important contents even while applying to the first university. This sets up the base for a complete understanding of the profile of any candidate which will come handy in the later stages of application. Maximum disclosure of information during this stage can result into a best application as she positions stories from the information that candidates furnish at this stage.

She often said that for my work experience I had a lot to write but the real challenge was to present the story within prescribed word limits. So whenever I wrote essays, I presented her with at least 100 words more than that prescribed by the university and left a tough task for her to work on. She would realign the content, trim the sentences short, and paraphrase the content to make the story more compelling and effective. Though I always tried to present full story to ensure not to miss out anything, she knew better on what to present and what to eliminate. This helped us in preparing exciting stories.

She is excellent in her editing skills. The most interesting aspect of working with her was that she never dismissed any of the word that I used in my essay for the sake of improving the essay or using an English rich in vocabulary. The final draft of any essay remained purely mine but just improvised in grammar and punctuation. Her qualification in English, her experience in this field and her students getting admitted to top B-schools stand testimony to her editing and persuasive story-writing skills.

Poonam promptly addressed all my queries during the essay writing phase and later. Whenever my suggestions were acceptable, she incorporated them in her edits. Whenever I experimented or thought a better content and questioned her on the suitability of the new content, she constantly encouraged me to think new and think better. I asked her numerous questions on low GMAT score, choice of universities and job prospects overseas even before starting the application. But she addressed all queries to my satisfaction.

She is very particular in maintaining the turnaround time. She not only maintains strict timeline but also expects candidates to adhere to the timelines. Any draft that I sent for edit returned back within 48 hours. Strict devotion to timelines helped us complete application for 7 universities in 75 days. She was highly helpful in my interview preparation. She provided me with a brief on do’s and don’ts during the interview along with a list of probable questions. This information material provided me a clear framework as to how I should structure my interview response. The mock interview was an exact simulation of the interview by admissions committee of any B-School. She gave me a detailed oral and written feedback on each question raised during the interview and my responses to those questions. This detailed feedback helped me to work on my weaknesses and perform better during the real interview.

LOR is one of the crucial components of application. I worked with her on a common GMAC prescribed LOR form which had four questionnaires with responses up to 500 words. As the admissions committee highly values the opinion of the direct supervisor, endorsement of the candidate’s qualities by the direct supervisor is very important. She was instrumental in highlighting my strengths, unmatched contribution in key areas and unique qualities through the eyes of my supervisors.

Mitigating weaknesses and highlighting strengths is the real strength of Madam Poonam, I would say. I availed the services of another consultant and applied for two universities last year, but I did not get through. This year, though my profile has not bettered much, I have applied for universities that are better in terms of ranking and reputation. I have been interviewed by 5 schools, waitlisted by two (Simon and Georgetown), and accepted by one (Schulich). The only aspect that created a difference in my candidature this time was the ability to highlight my strengths and mitigate the weaknesses while preparing my application. She had a very important role in that. Through the application process, she already gave me a glimpse of how an MBA program would be and partly prepared me for the program.

I am very happy to have worked with one of the best experts and mentors in the admissions process for an affordable price. My only suggestion to my fellow aspirants is that it depends on each individual candidate to get the best out of her as a qualified director extracts superior performance from an actor. I highly recommend Madam Poonam to my fellow MBA aspirants.

Admitted into Telfer School of Management. Thanks, Poonam.

After reading the reviews about MER in GMAT Club and visiting MER’s website, I decided to sign up for comprehensive school package. The primary reasons for my decision were: budget friendly, personalized approach, positive reviews and Poonam’s expertise in the field.

After initial review, the 1- hour counseling session was intense and informative. It helped me understand my profile very well and gave me an overall idea about the application process. The Resume building guidance was great. The template and guidelines to structure the résumé were very helpful. Also, Poonam guided me immensely as to how to portray my achievements by using strong action words.

Poonam helped me understand my profile and its strengths and weaknesses and how to address the same. She also suggested me ways to craft stories that reflect my strengths, achievements and extra-curricular, helping my profile gain the right weightage. Poonam shared with me with her valuable tips as to how to structure the essay and write the story in a coherent way. Her way of storytelling is commendable.

Poonam helped me understand the strengths and weaknesses of my profile very well. She always encouraged me to leverage my strengths overshadowing my weaknesses Poonam edited the long sentences into one or two liners, keeping the gist intact. The best thing that I liked about her is that she follows a collaborative approach. She values my inputs and also shares her best suggestions on the same, resulting in a story that is unique. She answered all my queries promptly and tried to help in the best way possible. Since I had signed up for comprehensive school package, Poonam edited my LORs nicely, making them crisper and freer of grammatical errors.

The mock interview’s look and feel was similar to an actual interview. Poonam helped me understand the particular type of a question and how to best answer it. Also, after the mock interview she shared with me a detailed written feedback which was indeed very informative and helpful.

Lastly, I would like to say that Poonam is very friendly and approachable and maintains the time line that we agreed during the enrollment e. Her approach is professional and tailored to the profile of individual applicant. She has proficiency in edits and storytelling.

I have received an offer of admission from Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, Canada. I would like to recommend MER to prospective applicants.

"Admits from 3 schools (GW, University of Sydney & Degreete) two with scholarships (GW, Sydney)"

My experience with MER was great. I had initially brainstormed and written 10 pages of content. I then had to choose the best parts and condense those 10 pages into 500- and 750-word essays. A few days before the 1 hour skype call, I sent this 10-page document to Poonam. She reviewed it and had a better understanding of my story. During the skype call we went over which parts of those 10 pages would fit together to form a good story. We also discussed how we would be tackling different essays from different institutions. We then started working on essays from one school at a time. The turnaround was quick. I usually responded within a day and Poonam did the same. If she was unable to respond with the 24-48-hour period due to prior commitments, she let me know in advance. Poonam did a great job in reducing the word count and bringing it within the limit. It was hard to decide which parts to cut, but we managed to keep most of it by changing the sentence structure. She also helped me with an optional essay to explain my education gap of a year and a half.

I ended up getting admitted to all the three schools on which we worked together (GW, University of Sydney, and DeGroote at McMaster University), getting scholarships from two (GW, Sydney). Overall, it was a great experience working with Poonam, and I would recommend her services to anyone looking for guidance and help getting their essays ready.

Accepted into CEIBS with ~40% Scholarship. Thanks, Poonam for your support

Last year, I decided to do a second MBA as I realized I needed the extra push to further my career. Given the complicated nature of applications and the additional emphasis needed to convince admission committees on "why" I wanted to pursue a second MBA, I signed up for MER services for my essays.

At the end of the day, that was the best decision I made. Her one-hour session on skype was very productive, and I learnt a significant amount on how to best present my resume and essays. During this session, we developed an action plan for the essays which was helpful when I started drafting them.

Poonam gave me very good advice on presenting content to effectively answer the questions asked. One specific recommendation that was very helpful was on the ‘failure’ essay. I had a ‘weak’ failure and Poonam encouraged me to think deeper and present a different one. From a structure perspective, I really liked how my ECA essay was revamped from being reverse chronological to chronological. I think it brought out different aspects of my personality really well.

Her editing skills are impeccable. English is not my native language, so I sometimes get confused on grammar rules. Poonam, in addition to being super helpful in her reviews, went out of her way to explain certain subject verb agreement issues. Impeccable and detailed.

Poonam is a stickler of turnaround timelines and sticks to her schedule of 24-48 hr turnaround time. This turned out to be very helpful in maintaining timelines.

Poonam is a pro at MBA essays! My overall experience working with her was great as explained!! Yes, I got accepted into CEIBS with ~40% scholarship!!! I sure will recommend her to prospective candidates known to me.

Accepted into McCombs MBA program. Thanks, Poonam

Reason I used a service: I decided late in the cycle and wanted to put my best foot. So, there was a time crunch for my situation.

Format: Skype/email/phone. Poonam was available in all 3 formats and that helped me as I was travelling at the time.

Biggest Strength: Organizing & structuring my thoughts flow to the specific questions asked in Essay. This helped me focus well on how to flow the essays/resume. Poonam was happy to review it multiple times, to get the best out of you.

Poonam was very quick in providing the feedback as I was in time crunch and replying to my queries. For example, I was struggling at a time to reduce my resume length as it was over flowing more than 2 pages. Helping put a concise, yet powerful message within a page.

I highly recommend her for anyone looking to refine their essays/resumes for school admission.

Essay and Resume Review

Writing an effective essay for an MBA program is not an easy task. It takes not only good writing skills but also good knowledge of how Universities want to hear your history. The limited word count makes it even more challenging.

After doing my homework and reading several reviews online, I identified Poonam as the best resource to help me. Her pricing is competitive, and her clients are satisfied. After my first 30 min conversation with her, I confirmed that she was the one. The one-hour counselling session was very comprehensive where Poonam helped me identify what stories I should share in my essays. Poonam was very good at understanding my profile. Without her support, I wouldn’t have been able to organize my story. Poonam gave me the structure/pointers I should follow, and she also demonstrated with examples where I failed to address the content properly.

Poonam’s editing skills are excellent. I liked her editing system; it makes it easier on both of us. Whenever I had any queries/concerns, she quickly provided me very straightforward and objective responses. Regarding timelines, Poonam followed the established timelines that we both had agreed upon before enrolling for her services.

Poonam, you were instrumental to my success. I couldn't have done it without you! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

“Attention to Details exemplified”

I Joined up With MyEssayReview for the Summer 2017 Applications. I did a very wide assessment of consultants and finalized with myEssayReview because I felt Poonam understood me very well. Even after a month of our first skype call of 10 minutes she remembered my details. I was very impressed by this fact that she remembered the entire details of a free trial call also.

My target schools were not clear at first but after the 1 hour skype call that I had with Poonam Tandon, i was very clear about my future approach.

She not only understood my profile but also gave me a very true assessment about my chances at various target schools.

She insisted that I re-take my Gmat (660 V35 Q49) as it was the only weak link in my application, but I did not have the time to prepare for GMAT again.

As the application process went on her astute attention to detail and brilliant editing skills impressed me a lot. I was very confident that I had taken the correct decision by working with her.

Post the application process she guided me with the interviews as well.

In the end the weak link mentioned by her turned to be the achilles heel in my application as I failed to convert my interview calls from Krannert and Jones due to my low GMAT score.

It was only due to her guidance and help that even with such a low score I was able to get interview calls from two of the best business colleges. Throughout the application process, she was very helpful. She understood my life experiences and was very ruthless about them as to what makes the cut for a good application story and what does not.

Any prospective applicant looking for a consultant with personal attention and personal guidance should definitely contact Poonam Tandon at myEssayReview.

“Admitted at IMD MBA”

IMD is very selective and only asks for 1 essay so I knew that my essay had to be perfect to get in. Accordingly, I decided to invest in essay review services to increase my chances. After quite a lot of research, reading reviews, etc. I came across "myEssayReview" and started talking with Poonam. Poonam knows what she is doing and is always very helpful. One thing that I really liked about her services is that she helps you and corrects the grammar of your essays, but she does not do the job for you. As a result, you will end up with an essay that is truly yours, that reflects your character and values and that has your ideas and writing style. For all of these reasons, I would strongly recommend the services of "myEssayReview". Good luck for your applications.

Title: I applied only to one school, Kelley, and I received the admit offer last week. Thanks Poonam for all your help.

I signed up for myEssayReview because I was impressed by the positive reviews on the GMAT Club and the quick turnaround times offered by Poonam.

The 1-hour brainstorming session was very productive and eye opening since it highlighted things that I could include in my essay. Since I had only one essay of 500 words, it was challenging to fit all the required information in the essay. However, with Poonam’s expert guidance, we were able to highlight all the relevant information within the prescribed word limit. Additionally, her expert guidance highlighted the right stories, and more importantly, the content within those stories was the highlight of my application experience with her.

Word limit was the most challenging part of the application. With Poonam’s guidance and restructuring suggestions, I was able to trim down my first draft of 1500 words down to final draft of 500 words without losing any key parts of my story and message. Poonam’s qualifications and experience reflects in the services she provides. ‘Less is more is an approach I have learned working with Poonam, and I will employ this in other areas of my life, too. Using this approach, she was able to concisely summarize my essays and LOR.

I had signed up for school package, so Poonam helped me build a strong résumé and edited my letters of recommendations for grammar and structure. Apart from that, she took pains to rewrite the sentence structures wherever necessary, hence conveying the overall message in a concise and relevant manner.

Regarding turnarounds, my case was unique since I was not operating under a deadline. From the start, we had a mutual agreement of not adhering to strict 24-48 hours turnaround time. Despite this agreement, whenever I needed a quick review of something, Poonam never disappointed and provided here expert comments within the timeframe.

Soon, I am going to begin my MBA at Kelley. I am very happy with the services provided, and I would recommend myEssayReview services to the prospective applicants.
