“Good service. It was great working with Poonam”I had little confidence in writing essays and overall things that might be required in the MBA application, including resume and short questions, so I needed a second hand. I requested Poonam of myEssayReview for a free consultation. I was able to understand her style of working and felt connected to coordinate with her easily.
After initial reviews, we had a one-hour brainstorming session wherein I got feedback for improvements and an overall picture of approaching an essay. Poonam’s suggestions helped me understand what story can make sense and what can be omitted. Somewhat, I had expected more to gain from that meeting, but it was still helpful. I used these suggestions, and my stories improved. Poonam’s suggestions improved the way I structured the essay. For instance, she introduced me to the STAR framework, which beautified the essays. Also, I was amazed by her ability to bring down the word limit in the essays to present the same content in an even better and concise way.
Although my final essay that I submitted for the 1 school package, Kellogg, was a lot different than what was finalized with Poonam, due to a lot of suggestions that I got from the current students, it was great working with Poonam. The only thing I feel is that the services were overpriced.

Prateek- 2016 applicant- interviewed by Kellogg
“I was interviewed at 5 school I applied to. Accepted into UNC. Thanks to Poonam, a brilliant coach.”I cannot say more/ enough good things Poonam did in my application process. She absolutely was the brilliant person to have by my side throughout the entire daunting application process, as easy as it could possibly be! When I applied, I felt like I did my best and had an application that was significantly stronger/better than it would otherwise have been without Poonam.
In July 2017, I had a free consultation with Poonam and intuitively understood that she was the right consultant who would take my challenge as personally, and thus I decided to work with her. From that moment, I started working with Poonam, and she was there to answer my questions and guide me through the process. I signed up for 3 essay package with MER (myEssayReview). I was so impressed with her thorough, precise, and valuable suggestions and recommendations and editing that I decided to continue working with her and requested her to upgrade me to the 14-essay package for 6 other universities. Though she doesn’t have more than 6 essay package on her website, she created a customized 14-essay discounted package for me.
Poonam has an uncanny ability to feel like your friend while providing directions at the same time. Before I started the process, my biggest concern was my age (I was 38 years old at the time of matriculation), and I was keen to get into business school this year. I was obviously under tremendous stress. Though I had signed up for an essay package, not a school package, I often asked her questions about my school choices and chances of admission that were not part of the package. But she always gave me honest advice on the schools I had a better chance at.
Throughout the brainstorming process, Poonam was easy to speak to and guided me to think about what I wanted the admissions committee to know about me and how I could make that into a great story. Additionally, I never felt like Poonam was “telling” me what I had to write about. Rather, Poonam helped me to see some critical gaps in my stories I was sharing with her, fill those gaps, and craft those into thoughtful essays.
When I was writing my essays, Poonam’s feedback always pushed me to give that one extra detail that I believe showcased more about who I am and made me a stronger applicant. Poonam would ask questions like “Can you think of another 2 examples when you did X?” or “Don’t you think this would have been a perfect beginning for XXXX essay?” or “Tell me more about Y. Why did you do it? How?” Her comments were thoughtful but also encouraged me to be more self-aware about the candidate that I was presenting to the admissions committees.
Poonam, it was a great journey of knowledge that you have shared with me. I have learned a tremendous amount of techniques, starting from how to write different parts and types of essays, how to outline, and how to draft different types of essays. I am deeply grateful for your assistance in many ways - from giving free advice regarding my school choices to editing my essays. You did an ABSOLUTELY great and amazing job. You are truly a unique person with vast experience in the MBA application process. I wish I could have met you earlier so that I could have had enough time for a more thorough process of analyzing MBA programs. And thank you for being patient and listening to my concerns about my application to all my MBA programs. You definitely have met many people in your life, and I would say that you are a psychologist, knowing what the candidate is all about. That’s why I trusted you and shared with you all my concerns.
I would say without hesitation that Poonam would make a huge impact on my professional development in the future. She has made my dream of getting my MBA degree from top business school realistic now. The results of her work speak for themselves.
Above all, Poonam was my biggest support throughout the process. I applied to nine schools (admitted to 1, waitlisted at 2). I did not sign up for interview prep service, but when I started to prepare for interviews, Poonam gave me honest, candid advice while encouraging me to think positively. Choosing Poonam was the right decision and best choice I have ever made in my application process – WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BRILLIANT LADY!

Sherzod- 2017 applicant, I was interviewed at 5 schools I applied to. Accepted into UNC. Thanks to Poonam, a brilliants coach.
I received interview call from each university I applied to!As a candidate from an over-represented pool (Indian, software engineer, male, low GPA, almost nil community service experience - you name it!) of MBA aspirants, I knew that my chances were pretty slim. The competition is intense and, considering a demanding job with 14 straight working hours for six days a week and very little time in hand (I started considering applying to B-schools in late November), I soon realized that I would need someone who could guide me in the essays. I got to know about Poonam's service through e-GMAT and decided to give it a shot. First, I purchased a three-essay package, and was so impressed with her service that I further purchased a three-school package.
And I think that that was the best decision I made during my application process!
Poonam was everything I could ask for - genuinely interested in helping me get into the school of my dreams, yet demanding in her guidance and feedback. She helped me through every step of the process - pushing me to stay on schedule, rigorously reviewing all of my written materials, and pepping me up whenever I used to get overwhelmed. She showed me how a minute update/ placement/ replacement of a word could change the entire message in the essay (yes, in one essay, just moving one 'though' from one part to another part added an extra 'zing' to that essay). She helped me to find my own words and craft a message that I truly felt was my own.
Moreover, Poonam was there every step of the way. For two essays, I was running behind the schedule due to a heavy workload at the office and discovered that I was just a few hours from the deadlines. I was amazed to find that she spent the whole day working with me. I would like to quote her, "I will work with you until you are all set to submit your application with a smile on your face." This was extremely appreciated, especially since she sacrificed much of her time over the holidays. I received an interview call from each university, except one rejected (Harvard), and I solely believe that it is because I could not get the essays reviewed by her due to time constraints), I applied to: UCLA, DARDEN, BOOTH, TUCK. I am accepted by Darden on a 50% scholarship and waitlisted by UCLA. I cannot ask for anything more! And I owe everything to her!!
Thank you, Poonam. Without your help, I cannot imagine how I would have handled my job and stressful applications all at once. Anyone who is serious about applying to graduate business school should consider using Poonam's service. Trust me: you'll thank yourself for your decision. As a candidate from an over-represented pool (Indian, software engineer, male, low GPA, almost nil community service experience - you name it!) of MBA aspirants, I knew that my chances were pretty slim. I was interviewed by 3 out of 5 schools I applied to! I am going to Tippie.Poonam has provided extensive reviews on my essays, recommendations and resume. When I compared the final version with the first draft of my essay, I was really surprised to see the sheer change in the story building. I liked her approach of review and suggestions. When I finished my first college essays, looking at the quality of the final versions, I extended my contract for another 4 colleges as well. I got interview calls from Tippie, Mays, and Kelley and am accepted by Kelley on 70% scholarship, but this is all Poonam's effort that made me think about my past experiences and cultural backgrounds and to work hard to meet the deadlines of schools. Her turnaround time is the most outstanding part of the application package. Many a time, I forgot to send the drafts of the essays, but she always reminded me for the deadlines and sent feedback to me on or before the time.
Poonam has always provided feedback to make the content story-like. She always emphasized bridging the gaps in the story and helped me think through my past experiences and cultural background. Her review comments on the recommendations were to the point and compelled my recommenders to think more about my work experience.
She always emphasized to make flow in the chronological order of the events and to build the essays story like. She always asked me to put the content relevant to the questions asked. Many a times, when I deviated from the main question, she asked me to focus on the specific details questions asked and provide relevant details after cutting fluff in the essay. Also, she helped me analyze my past experience and even the goals in my career, something that I never thought about seriously before, and that is very important before applying to any business school. It was an excellent experience; she always asked me to put the full story first without worrying about the word limit. Then she helped in trimming the essays and put only relevant and structured sentences in the essays. This really helped me build an efficient story in the end.
She always emphasized precise sentences and made sure that the story did not become monotonous. I generally use normal vocabulary in my writing; she made my stories great by adding good and more meaningful vocabulary in the story. She always made sure that my essays are grammatically correct and that there were no disconnected elements in the story.
Thanks, Poonam, for all your support in my applications! I would strongly recommend your application services to other applicants. I am sure that had I not availed your services, I would not have been able to apply to so many colleges in such a short time.

I worked with Poonam on 4 colleges and every single one of them invited me ($70K+ Scholarships)First of all, Poonam is a wonderful coach. She started by putting a lot of effort into digging out my best stories in order to get a good selection for typical themes (leadership, setback, goals, etc.). The editing process is pretty structured: she uses the first couple of edits to get the right content (without being concerned with word count) and the last couple of edits to make the essays comply with the word count limits
The one-hour initial call was really helpful in identifying my best stories and reasons for applying to an MBA. After that, the sample essays were essential to get me into the right “mood” (especially on Emory’s cultural shock essay). Although my recommenders kept making the same mistakes over and over, you kept reviewing the LORs to get them as best as possible. The concrete suggestions (e.g., sense of humor in Kellogg’s LORs) were essential to guide my recommenders.
I can’t thank you enough for all the effort you put into editing my essays. When everything seemed lost (such as a word count twice the limit), your edits kept me focused on what was essential and what was fluff. You’ve operated some miracles in word count trimming.
Sometimes you’ve made some changes in the sentence order in paragraphs that enhanced the “readability” a lot. It’s my understanding that most of your word count miracles were due to changes in word choice to keep the meaning while reducing word counts (and it worked!). Well, I don’t know how I got a V41 in GMAT with my punctuation skills, but you certainly helped me with punctuation. Part of my application strategy was to get my essays perfect in grammar (due to a low AWA score), and I feel that your edits helped me in achieving that.
Regarding timelines, you were more professional than I expected on following deadlines. This helped a lot, especially in crafting Emory’s essays in a couple of days. During the whole process, you kept me very motivated, especially when I needed some wake-up calls.
Yes, Poonam, thank you (again) for all the support during this process. I couldn’t get there without your help. I feel that words aren't enough to thank you for all your support. I can’t wait to join Cornell in the fall, 2014.

High quality consulting service with unbelievably quick turnaround timeMy main reasons for asking for help were the lack of native English reviewers and my doubts about the quality of my essays at that time. I signed up for myessayreview services only a couple of days before the application deadlines of 3 UK schools: LBS, Cambridge, and Oxford. I am thrilled to say that I have received admits from all three of them. I will be attending Cambridge, which has also offered me a scholarship. I couldn't be happier.
To begin with, Poonam's recommendations, guidelines, and sample essays helped me to understand the missing elements in my essays and rephrase unclear parts. She recommended removing some unnecessary details from my draft essays and adding other relevant details, which helped me organize and structure my essays effectively. Throughout the one-week process, she satisfactorily addressed all of my questions and doubts. I must say her help with trimming down my essays was invaluable. She is able to shorten a 750-word essay by a third, which is incredible. Her excellent knowledge of the English language has immensely helped me in writing, proofreading, and finalizing my essays.
The turnaround time was unbelievably quick. We managed to complete five essays and a resume in just one week. Understanding the tight deadlines, she prioritized my application and managed to edit the essays and resume several times per day, including weekends. I am very grateful for such effort and am sure it would have been hard to come by if I had worked with other consultants.
Poonam, I just want to say thank you so much for all your help and incredible pace of your work. It was a pleasure working with you. I am sure your other clients will be as happy with your services as I am!

I will be joining MiF program of the LBS in August. Thank you Poonam!I was looking for a consultant to help me organize my thought process and provide me a constructive feedback on my ‘story’ to make my essays the strongest part of the application.
I was impressed with the Great reviews of myEssayReview services by GMAT club members, so I signed up for my application for MiF program of the LBS.
After Poonam reviewed the first drafts of my essays, she claimed that my story already sounded impressive. But she suggested several very important spins and additions to the existing content, allowing for more clearer vision of my long-term goals.
Poonam effectively helped me to highlight key points of the story and colorfully illustrate my strongest areas. My essays’ structure significantly improved following Poonam’s recommendations and reviews. Poonam trimmed them down the word count by c. 20% beyond my expectations without compromising on key statements.
The turnaround was extremely effective – average turnaround time was even lower than 24 hours as stipulated on the website.
I have got an offer from LBS, my dream school, and I will be joining the program in August! Thank you so much for your help; it was truly amazing.
I would recommend Poonam’s services to anyone who is aiming to make the most out of the essay part of the application. Amazing experience worth its money.

I would recommend ‘myessayreview’ for anyone who wants to get admission from top business school.I would recommend ‘myessayreview’ for anyone who wants to get admission to a top business school.
As you all know, after taking the GMAT, the next important step for any B-school admission is the school essays. I initially tried writing some sample essays, and after reading them, I realized I have pretty bad writing skills. I zeroed in on 'myessayreview' after reading all the reviews on the GMAT Club. Poonam is excellent at editing the essays. I had applied to 7 schools, I got interview invites from 5 schools, and converted two of them into admits (ISB, UW Foster).
We started off by building a resume. Her initial guidelines/ template helped me compose a decent first draft before we started refining/ polishing the resume. I really liked the way she used different action verbs for each bullet point and focused on the impact I made on my organization. This helped us create a strong resume that effectively showcased my profile.
We then picked up essays. From the beginning, Poonam’s recommendations helped me to answer exactly what the essay prompt was asking. All her inputs helped me to select the right story for each essay. After working with her, I understood that even though the essay prompts of different schools look similar, they are not. As a first-time applicant, I didn’t think about the flow of the essay. Thanks to her edits/ guidelines, all my essays looked great after her final review.
She is excellent at reducing the word limit of the essay without losing the impact. For some essays, she amazed me by trimming down more than 100 words without sacrificing any essential elements of the story. The turnaround time was always less than 24 hours. I even remember that she refunded part of the fee for one essay as she finalized the essay with only one edit.
Don't expect her to write your essays, but she will guide you every step of the way and help you submit the best essay. The other advantages of working with Poonam/myessayreview are that you will work directly with her, and the price for the services is inexpensive compared to all the other admission consulting companies.
I was very happy with her services and the results. Along the way, I improved my writing skills. Thanks for everything, Poonam!!

Great essay review service! Highly recommend!I, like most MBA applicants, was in the market for an admissions consultant. I explored another consulting service, which was great in its own right, but was over my budget, especially for the service I was looking for, which was strictly essay review.
I stumbled upon myEssayReview by reading reviews on GMATClub. Based on all the good reviews, I figured I'd give myEssayReview a try. I contacted Poonam to schedule an initial assessment. During our assessment, she gathered information about my profile and gave me some recommendations on the schools I should work on first. After our assessment, I decided to go with the 2 essay review package.
One of my main takeaways from my interactions with Poonam was how quickly she reviewed and returned my essay back to me. It typically would take her 24-48 hours to follow up with me. Her edits were very thorough, helping me with my syntax, fixing grammatical errors, and helping me choose the most powerful stories and connections based on the essay prompt.
She reviewed each of my essays about three times each, each time tidying up my story and tweaking a little here and there to make sure the final draft was as perfect as possible. She carefully made sure the organization and structure of my essays flowed in a logical manner and trimmed the superfluous "fat" to make them fit the 750 word limit.
Overall, I highly recommend working with Poonam. I can only speak for her essay review services, which was exactly what I was looking for: affordable pricing and high-touch, personalized consultation.

I worked with Poonam on my essays for Kellogg and Booth and I was accepted into both. I couldn’t have asked for more.Poonam’s suggestions and comments played a very important role in shaping my essays. I was not conscious that I was not communicating certain qualities through the essays until I got her feedback. Her editing definitely helped to improve the flow of the essays. The structure and framework were well defined and easy to follow. She is skilled at pruning the essays to the allowed word limit; she proved that in many of my essays. The key is to be able to trim the words without losing the message, which was achieved. The edited content was grammatically accurate, the choice of words was apt, and the sentence structure was simplified to keep the flow and make it more readable. The turnaround time was very good. Most of the edits were turned around in less than 24 hours.
I was very happy with Poonam’s service. The service suited me well because she truly stuck to the task of editing the essay and not rewriting it, which many of the other competing essay editing services do. Keeping the content original and just refining the structure and grammar helps to keep the identity of the essay.
