The 2017 US News Rankings are Out

U.S. News & World Report has released the 2017 Best Graduate Schools rankings, designed to help prospective students research programs across six disciplines (business, education,engineering,law, medicine, and nursing) and evaluate the potential return on their investment

.U.S. News explains that for business, they use starting salaries and the ability of new MBAs to find jobs upon graduation or three months later. Full time Programs:

  • Harvard University is the No. 1 program in the country.
  • Booth overtakes Wharton as a tie #2 with Stanford!(Thsi si Booth's highest placement ever)
  • Yale is #8, tied with Tuck (it is a top 10 school officially, again!) used to be #13 in 2015
  • Columbia is down to #10 from 8 in 2015
  • Stern Tumbles from #11 to 20 due to a technicality and missing submission deadline.( Read this blog post)
  • Huge gain for Owen and Jones

Part time Programs:

  • Haas Berkeley remains No. 1
  • Chicago Booth comes in second
  • Kellogg School of Management is No. 3
  • UCLA Anderson School of Management is No. 4
  •  Michigan Ross School of Business rounds out the top five
